Name: Tulio
From: The Road to El Dorado
Appearance:

Age: 25
Gender: Male
Personality:
Charming as a convict can be, Tulio isn’t what one would call the sensitive type. One could say that he was more of a man with his foot on the ground. He’d rather see the world from a realistic point of view than an optimistic one. To his idea, it keeps his sanity in check and won’t ‘cause him to get caught or into more trouble. Some might see that his view on things is much more pessimistic, but that’s because he believes he knows that when things go wrong, things really go wrong.

Though Tulio isn’t really one to say much on having dreams of grandeur either, with his greedy habits, he likes to get into situations where he knows he can get a lot of gold or money. Really, Tulio is so greedy that even his dying regret was that he wished he had more gold. While he does like the idea of gaining wealth, he isn’t blind either to what’s around him. He’s a regular con artist with self-interests. Though he’s not completely selfish, he will give up his greed to do the right thing, like saving his close friends from painful agonizing death or danger.

If there is one thing someone could say that benefits from Tulio’s personality, and that it’s his ability to think and come up with a plan. Even under pressure or when a situation becomes dangerous, he can quickly come up for away to escape or plot a scheme. His plans aren’t always perfect, but when he works with a team, like with Miguel, usually it’s all right. Plus he’s too stubborn for his own good to give up.

Also, Tulio isn’t a complete pessimist. He likes to have fun when he can and enjoy life to the best of his abilities with his close friends. Tulio doesn’t mind flirting with girls, or doing the samba under the moonlight. He doesn’t even mind smoking or drinking if someone offers it. So he does sometimes let loose and have fun, just as long as he knows to keep a straight head and not go into anything too deep.

Backstory:
Tulio grew up in Spain, he unfortunately wasn’t born in the best of situations and had to get by from becoming a thief to full-fledged con-artist. He was a best friend with his partner Miguel, who he knew for a very long time and was very close to. The two would up establishing a certain less than admirable reputation, well at least as far as the church and state can claim.

It all started out in Spain circa 1519, focusing on Wanted poster of the two. Tulio was using his loaded dice to gamble with Miguel against a couple of men. Soon the stakes got higher when the man offered the Map to the Road of El Dorado. Tulio was reluctant, but due to Miguel’s pleading and puppy eyes, he gave in. But had to take the risk of rolling someone else’s dice. FORTUNATELY, Tulio rolled a 7 and won the bet along with the map.
However, Tulio’s loaded dice accidentally rolled out onto the street as he gathered the gold. Reveal the two were cheating all this time. Acting out with Miguel a sword play to deceive everyone into thinking they deceived each other with the loaded dice. They played out a sword fight till they reached the roof and left the crowd, unfortunately into the pit with a Bull. Who soon gave a hilarious chase scene into the streets along with authorities after them as well, to have them have no choice but to jump in barrels that were loading onto the boat that was heading to the New World.

Soon they were discovered on the boat and were thrown in the brig by Cortez, who sentenced them to be flogged and imprisoned on the sugar plantations in Cuba. While in the brig, Tulio tried to come up with a plan for them to escape, by hitting his head against the pillar repeatedly. Soon he came up that they escape, get onto one of the longboats and row back to Spain like there is no mañana! Although Tulio hadn’t thought how to get up on deck, fortunately Miguel got the idea to bribe the horse Altivo with an apple to get the pry bar. Tulio groaned that he’s just a dumb war horse, but fortunately for them both, it drops the keys for them. Tulio still stood by his statement, saying it still wasn’t a pry bar.
So they did manage to get on one of the longboats with some provisions. But unfortunately Altivo, in an attempt to try and catch the apple Tulio threw, jumped into the water. Miguel immediately jumped after to try and save the horse. Tulio tried saving the long boat, which was soon splashed over by one of the bigger boats. Making them loose all their supplies… And to top it all off, it started raining, by Tulio’s standards this journey has already started off with a blast.

After a very unpleasant boat ride, they finally reached land! Miguel took in their surroundings realizing that area looked very similar to the map he carried. Tulio was just hung up he brought the map but didn’t think to bring more food. Though Miguel soon was able to convince Tulio by merely mentioning about El Dorado’s reputation and promises of riches beyond their wildest imaginations and led him on the trail. Soon their travels through the jungle led them to a very big rock. Which was at the end of the map. Tulio was less than pleased, convinced that the rock was all there was to this “El Dorado” and commanded Miguel to get on the horse so they can get home. No amount of puppy eyes will subdue him now.
Out of nowhere, a girl came running out with being chased by some angry looking men with spears. When all of them seemed to be caught, the leader of the group of men commanded they come with them. And soon they were brought by boat into true city of El Dorado.
There they were taken to the high priest, Tzekel Kan and Chief Tani, who mistaken to be Gods. Soon when they were taken to their royal chambers, the girl from before introduces herself as Chel, knowing they’re truly just mortals. Saying she won’t help them keep their God-like image, which would be considerably hard with all the expectations the city might have for them, if she is let in on the scam and escapes with them along with some gold out of El Dorado. Tulio observed Chel, and decided to let her in on the deal.

After a celebration that involved a lot of wine and singing, Tzekel Kan reveals how crazy he is as the high priest, by wanting to do human sacrifices to appease the Gods. Fortunately Tulio was able to convince Tzekel Kan not to go through with the sacrifice by saying the stars were not in position for this tribute. And soon with the help of Chel was able to convince the Chief to let them bask in gold as tribute instead.

While Tulio was preoccupied with his gold, Miguel managed to sneak out to explore the city. When he discovered his partner went “loose” he began to panic. However, Chel delicately came over began to loosen Tulio’s muscles by giving him a little massage. He tried resist her but, simply couldn’t and soon gave into Chel’s sexy little seduction. During this long distraction, Tzekel Kan came up asking for Lord Tulio. Who soon was pushed out by Chel to speak with priest. Tzekel Kan informed Tulio that Miguel was amongst the people. Warning him about the dangers of humanity, how they all should be sacrificed, all the icky gross stuff that Tulio rather not think about and just decided to go get Miguel so he won’t have to listen to this weirdo priest anymore.

Literally having Miguel bump into Tulio, however just when he was about to start nagging. Tzekel Kan noticed Lord Miguel was playing ball, saying that this wasn’t a proper way for the Gods to play. Then manages to drag the two into a very hard and rough game of ball. But thanks to Chel, they were able to start winning the game with armadillo disguised as a ball. However by accident near the end they got a real ball. In panic of the realization, Tulio accidentally knocks his elbow into Miguel’s brow, which got a scratch. But they managed to hit the ball into the goal anyway, and win the game.

Just as soon as the “Gods” won the game, Tzekel Kan wanted the losing players on the other team be sacrificed. Miguel had enough of him using people like this, and yells at Tzekel-Kan to stop with these sacrifices. Then tells him to get out. It was then, that Tzekel-Kan notices the scratch above Miguel’s eyebrow that was bleeding. Knowing that was enough proof they were only mere mortals. Tulio tried to voice his opinion, but it seemed the locals approved of Miguel’s decision, so there was no argument. Little did they know, that Tzekel-Kan now knew they were only mere mortals.

Moral Standing:
True Neutral, Tulio prefers to do whatever benefits him, he doesn’t really care if it’s for the sake of good or not. But at the same time he’s not heartless or evil or give any care about the law or not. And he’d rather lie low than get into something that causes too much trouble.

Dreams:
Tulio wants to be rich, mostly rich, billionaire option looks nice. And of course be together with someone he cares about the most for the rest of his life. But mostly money, lots of gold please.

Fears:
Getting caught. Tulio hates that. He also never wants loose someone close to him, whether by betrayal or any other nasty method, he’d just wouldn’t stand it.

Extra:
Not much, just know he’s got a pair of loaded dice and enough wit to be snarky.
